Alabama’s Milroe Named National Quarterback of the Week
FORT WORTH, Texas (Nov. 7, 2023) – Alabama sophomore Jalen Milroe has been selected as the Davey O’Brien National Quarterback of the Week for his performance in the Crimson Tide’s 42-28 victory over No. 14 LSU.
Against the rival Tigers, Milroe accounted for 374 yards of total offense with 219 coming via the air and 155 on the ground. He averaged 7.8 yards per carry on 20 attempts and set an Alabama quarterback record with four rushing touchdowns.
The SEC Co-Offensive Player of the Week was 15-for-23 (.652) passing, averaged 14.6 yards per completion and did not commit a turnover on Saturday. His touchdown runs came from 23, 21, 11 and 4 yards out. Milroe finished with a total quarterback rating of 96.4.
